CROWFIELD - Road resurfacing
The Road through Crowfield was resurfaced in 2016

After years of living with hundreds of potholes which when repaired, reappeared again and again due to poor condition of the road. Crowfield finally got an early Christmas present. The whole road has been completely resurfaced after campaigning by the local residents supported by Mark Morrell aka Mr Pothole. The national anti Pothole campaigner worked closely with Sallie Connery from Crowfield. They got up a petition, signed by those living along the Pothole hell road, Canvassed Cllr Ian Morris of Northamptonshire County County portfolio holder for Transport, Highways & Environment. also posting pictures and videos up on social media showing the terrible state of the road, which also doubles as the footpath and playground. Mr Pothole had ITN News film the road which was used in a recent report on Pothole issues in the UK.

On Christmas Eve residents were joined by Mark Morrell to celebrated with a glass of Champagne their newly resurfaced road. 84 year old Barbara who has lived in Crowfield for over 40 years said she has never seen the road look this good. She had been very limited in walking safely along the dangerous surface until now. On Boxing day she was able to go out for a good safe walk.
